Brighton find themselves midtable and having an okay season but are unlikely to qualify for any European football this year. The Seagulls have struggled to find wins of late, with a devastating late goal from Everton during their most recent game leaving them winless in the league in four matches. Fabien Hurzeler’s side will be looking to turn things around this Sunday.

Crystal Palace are also struggling for form, having failed to win a match in all competitions since early December. With stalwart defender Marc Guéhi transferred to Manchester City, centre forward Jean-Philippe Mateta expressing his desire to leave the club and manager Oliver Glasner announcing he will be departing at the end of the season, Palace are in a tricky position at the moment. One positive is the signing of former Wolves Striker Jørgen Strand Larsen who will look to make an instant impact on Sunday.

Hosts Brighton will be the favourites in this one, with the Seagulls currently priced at evens to claim all three points. You can also back them in our 2 Up Early Payout market, which pays out if your team goes up by two goals during the match, at 10/11.
Palace are underdogs, with turbulence at the club leaving them short on form and struggling to pick up points. You can back them to win the match at 27/10, or at 12/5 in our 2 Up market. If you’re expecting a stalemate, you can back the game to end in a draw at 5/2.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Sunday’s clash, including our “Goal Supremacy” market. This market currently has Brighton as favourites, with the Seagulls favoured by 0.35-0.55 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Brighton to win to start turning a profit, and if you sold, you would need Palace to win or draw. If you bought, a one-goal victory for Brighton would win you 0.45 times your stake, a two-goal victory 1.45 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Brighton lost or drew the game, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 1.55 times your stake, a two-goal loss 2.55 times your stake, etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.8-3. If you’re expecting plenty of goalmouth action, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit (a three goal game would cost/return nothing). Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.8 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2 you would lose 3.2 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
