Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League fixture between Tottenham and Newcastle. Spurs' terrible league form continued with defeat away at Man Utd on Saturday, compounded by another red card for captain Cristian Romero. The pressure, consequently, will have ramped up even further for boss Thomas Frank, and a defeat here may well prove terminal for his tenure.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are on an awful run themselves and fell to a hugely disappointing 3-2 home defeat to Brentford last time out, with the Magpies now on a three-match losing run in the league, with five losses in their last ten in all competitions. Could a big defeat here be potentially terminal for Eddie Howe as well?

Tottenham v Newcastle betting FORM

With both sides struggling for any kind of positives with regards to their form, predicting a winner here becomes highly tricky. While Newcastle have had struggles away from home (predominantly), Spurs are the other side of the coin in that they have majorly struggled to make home advantage work in their favour, winning just three of their last ten home matches in all competitions!

Both of these sides have seemingly only found their best form in Europe this season, and it has now become critical to earn important victories domestically with both sides languishing disappointingly in the bottom half, with Spurs 15th and Newcastle 12th.

Defeat would seem more unthinkable for the home side here, as a win for Newcastle would create a seven point gap between the two and potentially drag Spurs into the very real prospect of a relegation battle, as they only currently sit above the drop zone by six points.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON Tottenham v Newcastle?

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Newcastle as the 11/10 favourites to secure an away victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the Magpies at Evens.

Spurs meanwhile are available at 12/5 for the home victory (21/10 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 13/5.

H2H form seems to reflect the odds, with Spurs struggling badly in this matchup and only winning one of the last ten meetings! The other nine have seen six Newcastle wins and three draws.

However, that one win for Spurs was at this ground in 2023 and was a dominant 4-1 victory. You can back the same result here at 40/1.

Eight of the last ten meetings saw Both Teams Scoring, and you can back Both to Score - Yes at 4/7 here.

Tottenham v Newcastle FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Newcastle/Tottenham (h) 0.3 - 0.5. This means if Newcastle won 3-1 (or by any other two goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.5 would mean a return of 1.5x your initial stake.

However, if you bought at 0.5 in the Magpies' favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.5x your stake. Or, if Spurs were to grab a 2-0 (or any other two goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -2 and a buy at 0.5 would result in a loss of 2.5x your opening stake.

You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3 - 3.2. So a 3.2 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 3.2 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.2 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.2x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
